Prof Zhan Jun WANG
Prof. Wang Zhanjun, Deputy Director of CDGDC, supervisor of postgraduates for doctorate
Prof. Wang graduated in automatic control from Beijing Institute of Technology and got the degree of Bachelor of Engineering in 1982. After graduation, he remained at the institute and took up such jobs successively as teaching assistant, instructor, associate professor, Deputy Head of the Department, and Director of the Discipline Construction and Academic Degrees Office of the Graduate School. In 1994, preparations were started for the construction of the Evaluation Institute of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education of Colleges, Universities and Scientific Institutes and Schools, and Wang Zhanjun was appointed Deputy Head of the institute and given the title of Professor. Then Prof. Wang got his Master's and Doctor's Degrees in Administration through in-service studying. In 1999, he was transferred to Qinghua University and appointed Deputy Director of National Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center. Now, he is the Deputy Director of CDGDC.
Prof. Wang is mainly engaged in the study of administration science and information management, focusing on the administration and evaluation of academic degrees and graduate education. In recent years, he has completed three projects sponsored by National Fund of Natural Science and one project sponsored by National Fund of Social Science, published two academic monographs, edited five collections of academic papers, and published about 70 academic papers at home and abroad. At present, he is still doing several research projects. Addition to his own work, Prof. Wang holds some other concurrent posts such as Deputy Director-General of Chinese Evaluation Association of Higher Education, Standing Director of Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education, and Deputy Director of the Evaluation Committee.
