Student of academic year 2007, Yang Shen, visited University of Nottingham, UK
Through the collaborated programme U21, Yang Shen visited University of Nottingham between Sep 2008 and Jan 2009.
Yang Shen studied four units, namely, 'globalisation, citizenship and identity', 'gender and development', 'culture research' and 'the contemporary Chinese Research' during the visit and also achieved good results.
During the visit, Yang Shen travelled around UK, for example, Highland, Edinburg, London, Oxford, Cambridge, Bath, Stonehenge, Liverpool, Leicester and York. He also met the local people and experienced the local culture.

With the recommendation by GSE, student of academic year 2005, Jiani Zhu, visited Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung (CHE), Germany between oct 2006 and Sep 2007. During her visit, Jiani Zhu participated in the following research projects:
- EBI (European Benchmarking Initiative in Higher Education)
- Demographic Development
- Higher Education in China in the light of massification and demographic change
